MVG polyfrequency vibrating screens are designed to size bulk materials by particle size from 20 microns to several millimetres.

On the MVG screen, screening or separation of solids from pulps and suspensions, together with their dewatering, takes place on woven wire mesh or rubber screen panels that perform polyfrequency vibrations.
How it works
Polyfrequency vibrations ranging from a few hertz to kilohertz are generated on the screen deck. This prevents blinding of the screen apertures, breaks up agglomerates formed by stuck-together particles, keeps the particles moving intensively within the bed and lets the particles that reach the screen surface pass efficiently through the apertures.
- This type of vibration delivers much higher separation and dewatering efficiency than conventional screens and keeps the mesh continuously self-cleaning.
- Since the mesh is not tensioned, the working surface has a long service life.
- Since only minimal loads are transmitted to the supporting structure, the screen is installed without special foundations, including on the floor slabs of buildings and structures.
- The screens can operate at high temperatures, in aggressive media and under water.
Fields of application: mining, construction, chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as powder, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy — for sizing and dewatering any bulk materials and removing contaminants.
Standard size range
A standard size range of screens has been developed, with screening areas from 1 to 4 m² and different numbers of decks. The specifications of the MVG screen with a screening area of 2.6 m² are given in the table.
| Parameter, unit | Value |
|---|---|
| Forced vibration frequency of the screen box, Hz | 25 |
| Number of vibrator motors, type IV-25-25 | 2 |
| Vibrator motor power, kW | 2.3 |
| Cut size, mm | 0.02–20 |
| Nominal screening surface dimensions: width / length, mm | 1000 / 2600 |
| Effective screening area, m² | 2.6 |
| Screening surface inclination, deg | 0–10 |
| Overall dimensions: length / width / height at 0° inclination, mm | 3810 / 1636 / 1607 |
